Actually, I'd still be your friend even if my state HADN'T done the wonderful thing it did.
What's notable is that both Maine and New Hampshire have governors who believe in traditional marriage but when given a gay marriage bill approved by their legislatures and supported by their populations, they signed rather than stand on personal biases. Both deserve to be held up as role models.
And of course no equality in RI. I think next time I see the speaker of the house in RI I'm going to spit in his face.
