The Right of the People

I wish we were more like the French. They are on their FIFTH Republic, since the Revolution. They know when the government and the governors become as corrupt and malicious and conniving as ours now is, that it must be burned to the ground, reforming it all to its very foundations. I was foaming at the mouth about this last night at a party in the woods, after a few margaritas.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,--That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to abolish it..."
