Parmesan Chicken

Ina Garten's Parmesan Chicken is one of my favorite things to make. With a little lemoney vinaigrette on arugula, and broccoli tonight.

In other news, i have a new toy in the kitchen. A very nice, Italian espresso machine, complete with a built-in grinder. I want to learn to speak Italian, just so i can talk to it. Right now all i can say to it is LA PAVONI! Should i call Giada DeLaurentis? Maybe she'd bring one of her hot lil number desserts?

thanks Catlow! It's our den of eating sin, our kitchen. I like the baked goods a lil too much...and i like color a lil too much too, ergo, projects for myself tend toward carnivals of color.

and thanks, too, Udave. It is a yuuuummy recipe. We are both addicted to Barefoot Contessa. Her stuff really is easy.

Well, you might greet it in the morning with, "Buon giorno, machinettina mia cara!"

And if it breaks down, you can always revert to classic Italian-American, "eh, wassa matta you?"

I'm Italian-American--I can say these things.

I learned about the possibility of ODing on espresso during a trip to the Northwest. Fritz and I were driving through the forests of the Olympic peninsula. Miles and miles away from everything, we'd see a shack the size of an outhouse by the side of the road with a sign hanging off it saying "Espresso."

I said to him, "These people are ADDICTED!"
