Moving :: Part 10 of 10

Sheesh i'm tired of all this moving crap. Tomorrow will be one week that we've been in the new house and oh what a lot of stuff there is to do. The kitchen is semi gutted. The windows are dirty and need work (though Steven cleaned alot of them this week). The yard is a mess. It's been raining for a week and it is sooo steamy here I can't stand it. Thank goodness for HVAC, but i haven't been able to walk much due to the deluge. The movers come tomorrow with all the rest of our stuff from Atlanta. We need those extra beds, as Steven's Mom arrived today from China and has to sleep on the sofa for one night. For the life of me, I cannot understand how the lady gets all the stuff from China to here. She packed like 20 thousand items in 2 suitcases. A mountain of tchotckes. Lots of groovy fabrics. A ton of prepacked Chinese foods and candies, etc. I wish she would just come and bring herself! I think maybe i'm a tad depressed about all the WORK we're going to have to do to find places for that 12,000 lbs. of stuff. And i'm going to be a freak running around putting those darn sticky feltey crappy things on the bottom of furniture, sos our new floors don't get scratched. Mommie's going to need a little helper or 10 tomorrow. Can somebody overnight something to me? Valium? Buspar? Lithium? Uggggggggggggggggggh. Here's a picture of Steven (not Steve Lawrence) and Eydie Gorme taking a nap... to cheer me up.

I know what you're capable of, and it will come together! Be sure to balance work, play and rest, and the result will be as fabulous as the two of you!

Calm down, Sammy. Get depressed about the state of our union, not where to put stuff in your house, for gods sakes. It's steamy here too in Hotlanta and a huge thunderstorm just moved through. We really need the rain. The hot steamy weather just makes me want to take a nap. I think I'll join Steve.

Oh, and please tell Chingxia (sp?) Keith and I said hello!! Welcome back to the USofA. How long will she be here this time? You are such a good son-in-law.

Thanks John, we hope it will come out well.

You said it, Larisa! We are not getting enough fun time right now, but we will. Thanks Honey!

And Ms. Deb...I can't get worked up about the state of our union lately. I really think our elections are fixed, so until everyone else gets worked up about that, nothing will change. Sorry to be so Nietzche about it, but it is rather hopeless, until someone comes up with some bright ideas about how to make our elections rig-proof and honest again. Talk about something to get depressed about...

Rigged elections??? I can't think about today, Scarlett. Your girlfriend Cynthia is in a runoff with....I can't remember his name. I didn't vote. And Mr. Keith voted in the Repub primary so he could cast his vote against Ralph Reed. Appears they didn't need his vote. Some other christian--Cagle--with family values beat Ralph hands down. Our problem now is that neither of us can vote in the Dem run-off and, truth to tell, we are so sorry we can't vote against girlfriend. Yes, the hair is bad, but the whole package is worse. She's an embarassment. Your house looks great!!
