Oh yes, this should most assuredly be tagged Bush Administration, Scott. Though it has been in the making way before Bush came into power, he and his Milton Friedman Evangelicals have done everything in their power to bring on Economic Armageddon. You know that to be true. We all know that to be true.
If any of you happen to not be sure that is the case, please read The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein. This has indeed been going on for quite some time, and the current financial crisis--and the proposed "solution"--is just the tip of the iceberg regarding the Republican's secret plan for the USA's economy.
