You can rock the boat, but you can never say that the entire ocean is in trouble

"The lone news anchor who seriously questioned the integrity of the 2004 election was Keith Olbermann of MSNBC. I asked him why he stood against the tide. ''I was a sports reporter, so I was used to dealing with numbers,'' he said. ''And the numbers made no sense. Kerry had an insurmountable lead in the exit polls on Election Night -- and then everything flipped.'' Olbermann believes that his journalistic colleagues fell down on the job. ''I was stunned by the lack of interest by investigative reporters,'' he said. ''The Republicans shut down Warren County, allegedly for national security purposes -- and no one covered it. Shouldn't someone have sent a camera and a few reporters out there?''

Olbermann attributes the lack of coverage to self-censorship by journalists. ''You can rock the boat, but you can never say that the entire ocean is in trouble,'' he said. ''You cannot say: By the way, there's something wrong with our electoral system.''

John, did you read the article? It is sickening. I've never cared for Republican "values," but in the past few years i've realized that so many of them are megolomaniacal, and that they aren't harmless, they are dangerous. It really is criminal how they are fixing the system, in so many ways.

The press really dropped the ball on this one. And I think politicians were afraid to raise questions after the populace seemed to tire so quickly of the last stolen election. I have no question that Ken Blackwell et al handed the Presidency to Bush/pickpocketed it from Kerry via Ohio.

I've always been interested in politics, but I've never been active in politics. Until now. I'm gonna give whatever I can and do whatever I can to help see that Blackwell isn't our next Governor. Anyone unhappy with how the Republicans are running our country should consider doing the same, because Blackwell as Governor will use whatever means to see that Ohio goes Republican in the next Pres. election.

Ms. Bees: I know, shit like this makes me feel so helpless. Especially when you realize OUR crappy-ass tax money is paying for fraud and killing and lies and propaganda. Instead of education, jobs, healthcare, and taking care of each other. Honestly, it is THE biggest issue facing us. If the Republicans are stealing elections, and i think they are, it is time to barbecue them. Immediately. Hmmm... hairspray and a bic? An industrial flame thrower? WMD?

Michael: Amen Brother. I don't know who you are, but I like you already. I'll be checking your blog out later tonight when i get through with the $%^#@$%^&*^ barrage of meetings i'm enduring today, even at NINE PM! Blackwell is an evil, evil man.
